DRC Prime Minister Judith Suminwa leads $350 million debt recovery push

Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka chaired a strategic meeting of the special commission on forced recovery of overdue loans to the Fonds de Promotion de l’Industrie (FPI). The commission aims to retrieve about $350 million held by insolvent debtors, money earmarked for industrial development and job creation.

In a separate address, Deputy Éric Tshikuma urged the consolidation of a sovereign budget to fund strategic priorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He highlighted three pillars – infrastructure (roads, energy, ICT), security, and economic transformation – as essential for national cohesion, stability and growth.
