Dre Greenlaw suspended one game by NFL

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw has received a one-game suspension from the NFL following an incident during a Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Greenlaw was ejected after using his helmet to headbutt linebacker Ernest Jones, who was not wearing a helmet at the time. This suspension, combined with his previous ejection, results in Greenlaw missing a game and a half.

The disciplinary action provides an opportunity for rookie Jaden Dugger to take on a larger role. While Dugger has primarily served as the team's starting SAM linebacker, he is expected to move to the WILL position, playing the majority of defensive snaps in Week 6. Dugger, a former fifth-round pick, has shown versatility in limited roles, and his performance during Greenlaw's absence could influence the team's long-term defensive structure.
