DreamWorks Animation introduces ‘Forgotten Island’ adventure

DreamWorks Animation has released a featurette and character posters for its upcoming original film, ‘Forgotten Island’. Directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, the animated adventure is set in a world inspired by Filipino mythology and folklore.

The story follows lifelong friends Jo and Raissa, voiced by H. E. R. and Liza Soberano, who discover a mysterious portal to the fantastical island of Nakali. As they navigate a land filled with magical creatures, they face the threat of losing their shared memories in order to return home. The film features a voice cast including Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and Lea Salonga.

Universal Pictures Australia has announced that the film will open in Australian cinemas on Thursday, 17 September.
