DreamWorks film La Isla Olvidada to feature inclusive screenings

The DreamWorks animated film ‘La Isla Olvidada’ (The Forgotten Island) is set for release, featuring a story inspired by Filipino culture and mythology. Directed by Joel Crawford and Januel P. Mercado, the plot follows two high school graduates, Jo and Raissa, who are transported to the fantastical island of Nakali through a mysterious portal.

The production is noted for its vibrant cinematography, diverse animation styles, and an 80s-inspired soundtrack featuring artists such as Journey and Simple Minds.

In Mexico, Cinépolis will host ‘Relaxed Screenings’ for the film on select weekends in late September and early October. These inclusive sessions are designed for neurodivergent viewers and families, offering adjusted lighting, moderate sound levels, and increased freedom of movement within the theater.
