DreamWorks' Forgotten Island releases new posters ahead of release

DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures have released new promotional posters for the upcoming animated feature “Forgotten Island” (A Ilha Esquecida). The film follows childhood friends Jo and Raissa, who discover a mysterious portal to the magical Nakali Island. The plot centers on their struggle to escape the island before they lose their memories of one another.

The animation incorporates elements of Filipino folklore, featuring creatures inspired by mythology such as the Aswang and Duwende. The narrative also explores the Filipino concept of “dekapwa,” which relates to shared identity and connection.

In Brazil, the film is scheduled for an official release on September 24. However, special advance screenings will be available during “Semana do Cinema” from September 10 to 16, with discounted ticket prices offered at participating theaters.
