Drew McIntyre confirms future WWE return amid Hollywood projects
Former Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has confirmed he intends to return to professional wrestling, though he stated that the timing is not yet right for his comeback. The Scottish wrestler has been absent from WWE television since April, following a loss to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match at WrestleMania 42.
McIntyre is currently focusing on several film and television projects, including the Highlander reboot, The Last Druid, and the Disney animated film Hexed. He also participated in Agent of Shadows, a collaboration between WWE and ReelShort.
In a recent interview with CNN-News18, McIntyre noted that he is not actively pursuing a Hollywood career, but rather that opportunities have come to him naturally. He expressed gratitude to WWE executives Nick Khan and Triple H for allowing him the flexibility to explore acting while maintaining his connection to the company.
