Drew McIntyre discusses WWE hiatus and Hollywood career

Professional wrestler Drew McIntyre has provided updates regarding his current hiatus from WWE and his burgeoning acting career. Since his defeat at WrestleMania 42, McIntyre has been pursuing film roles in projects such as ‘Highlander’ and ‘The Last Druid’. During his time filming in Barcelona, he revealed that he maintained his physical conditioning by training in a local independent wrestling ring.

McIntyre also discussed the shifting corporate culture at WWE under the leadership of Triple H and Nick Khan. He noted that, unlike the era of Vince McMahon—where talent was often restricted from outside opportunities—the current management supports wrestlers pursuing Hollywood projects if it benefits both the individual's brand and the company.

While McIntyre remains focused on his acting commitments, he expressed a strong desire to return to the ring, stating he feels physically better than ever. He has not yet provided a specific date for his WWE return, emphasizing that he intends to make his comeback on his own terms.
