Drew McIntyre has addressed his current absence from WWE, expressing a desire for future matchups against rivals such as Roman Reigns. During a recent interview, the Scottish wrestler noted that while he is not currently prioritizing a return to the ring, he intends to face former opponents when the timing is right.

McIntyre also discussed his transition into acting, noting his involvement in projects such as the Highlander reboot and The Last Druid alongside actors Russell Crowe and Henry Cavill. He revealed that Crowe has expressed interest in participating in a WWE tag team match at WrestleMania, suggesting a potential storyline where they act as ‘heels’ with a manager.

Reflecting on his status within the industry, McIntyre claimed that many stars harbor jealousy toward his ‘Hollywood Drew’ persona. He stated that while he does not personally need WWE or the fans, he intends to return because he feels they need him.
