Drew McIntyre nears WWE return following filming at headquarters

Drew McIntyre is expected to return to WWE programming soon following an extended absence. The former World Champion was recently spotted at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, to meet with officials and participate in filming for the company’s new micro-drama projects. These productions are also reportedly involving wrestlers Jacob Fatu and Joe Hendry.

McIntyre has been away from television since WrestleMania 42, during which he lost an unsanctioned match to Jacob Fatu. During his hiatus, he has focused on several acting roles, including the upcoming 'Highlander' reboot and 'The Last Druid' alongside Russell Crowe. He has also shared updates on social media regarding his physical transformation and training to prepare for a return to the ring.

Separately, NXT performer Keanu Carver (Kevin Robertson) faces an uncertain future with WWE. Reports indicate he may be leaving the company following a protection order filed by Bianca Carelli (Arianna Grace). The order requires Robertson to maintain a distance of at least 500 feet from Carelli and avoid all contact. A further injunction hearing is scheduled for October 20, 2026, in Florida.
