Tuzla Canton driving schools protest new digital exam software

Driving schools and instructors in Tuzla Canton have held multiple protests over the past two months due to a standoff with the Ministry of Education and Science regarding the implementation of a new digital software system for tracking training and conducting driver's license exams.

Driving school representatives argue that the mandatory digitalization is being imposed without a proper legal basis and that the software is technically flawed, creating a double workload for administrators. They claim the dispute has caused a total blockade of exams, leaving hundreds of candidates unable to complete their training or take tests.

Minister Ahmed Omerović maintains that the new system is essential to increase transparency and combat long-standing irregularities. He cited instances of instructors training students while unregistered, discrepancies in reported versus actual training prices, and attempts to obstruct inspections. While approximately 700 candidates have already transitioned to the new system, hundreds more remain in limbo as the dispute continues.
