Authorities in Romania are investigating the discovery of drone fragments along the Black Sea coast, specifically near the Tuzla beach in Constanța County. The Ministry of National Defence (MApN) deployed EOD combat divers from the Romanian Navy to conduct pyrotechnic evaluations following reports of the debris.

Investigations by MApN confirmed that the fragments found at Tuzla originated from a Ukrainian-manufactured drone and contained an explosive charge. The explosive was successfully neutralized through a controlled detonation. The Constanța Court of Appeal Prosecutor's Office has taken over the case to determine how the fragments reached the shoreline.

This incident follows a series of similar sightings in the region, including fragments found near Năvodari, Mangalia, and Midia Port. While a fragment recovered near Midia Port was found to be non-explosive, the increasing frequency of such incidents has heightened security concerns. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Romania has reported 121 attacks near its border, 42 unauthorized airspace penetrations, and 64 unidentified drone fragments.
