Multiple countries bordering the Black Sea and Ukraine have reported an increase in drone-related incidents. In Romania, authorities have recorded 129 drone or fragment sightings within the Danube Delta and Black Sea regions. A drone fragment containing explosives was discovered on the beach in Olimp, leading to a 500-meter safety perimeter and the evacuation of tourists. Additionally, a suspected drone explosion in the Tulcea region near Plauru reportedly caused a forest fire affecting approximately 0.5 to 2 hectares of willow forest.

In Bulgaria, Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov confirmed that drones found along the coast are primarily Russian reconnaissance or decoy models, such as the ‘Gerber’ and ‘Orlan,’ and do not carry ammunition. The Bulgarian Navy has neutralized several UAVs in the Black Sea near Varna, Pomorie, and Pasha Dere.

In Moldova, police identified a damaged Russian-made ‘Parodiya’ decoy drone near the Chisinau–Basarabeasca route. Authorities confirmed the device contained no explosives after X-ray examinations. This follows reports of five unauthorized drone overflights in Moldovan airspace during recent Russian strikes on Ukraine.
