Drone Games 2026 to be held in Osaka

The Drone Games 2026 Executive Committee has announced the inaugural ‘Drone Games 2026 in Daito City Municipal Gymnasium,’ scheduled for October 24, 2026, in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. Co-hosted with the Osaka Sports Midori Foundation, the event aims to promote drones as ‘peaceful technology’ through various competitive and educational activities.

The competition will feature three main disciplines: Drone Fight, Drone Shoot, and Rex-Gate, a territory-control game developed by South Korea’s COCODRONE INC. Winners of the Rex-Gate competition will receive airfare to participate in a tournament in South Korea. The event also includes exhibitions of industrial drones used in agriculture, disaster prevention, and infrastructure inspection, alongside a demonstration of paper-based drone construction.

Designed to be accessible to the general public, the event allows participants to compete using borrowed drones or those they have constructed themselves. The program will conclude with an indoor drone show featuring music and light synchronization.
