Drone events in Osaka Prefecture
Overview
In late 2026, multiple drone-related events were announced in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, focusing on recreational, educational, and competitive uses of the technology.
In October, the Drone Games 2026 Executive Committee announced the inaugural event in Daito City, scheduled for October 24. Co-hosted with the Osaka Sports Midori Foundation, the event aims to promote drones as ‘peaceful technology’. The program includes disciplines such as Drone Fight, Drone Shoot, and Rex-Gate, alongside exhibitions of industrial drones used in agriculture and disaster prevention.
Following this, the third round of D ONE, a large-scale event for beginners, was scheduled for December 12 and 13 in Takatsuki City. This event emphasizes safe and enjoyable drone use through activities like the DJI NEO Grand Prix, drone programming experiences, and drone basketball, focusing on accessible learning for individuals and families.
