Drone technology transforms modern warfare in Ukraine

The conflict in Ukraine has fundamentally transformed modern warfare through the dominance of drone technology. Jonas Öhman, founder of the organization Blue/Yellow, reports that his organization has raised over 1.3 billion Swedish kronor to support Ukraine. While early support focused on various needs, at least 80 percent of current funding is now directed toward drone technology and electronic equipment.

Öhman notes that unmanned systems have become central to combat, playing critical roles in operations from Pokrovsk to Bachmut. This shift emphasizes that military superiority in modern conflicts is increasingly defined by the ability to rapidly adapt tactics, technology, and organization in response to evolving battlefield realities.
