Drones target Moscow and Yaroslavl regions in Russia

Unmanned aerial vehicles targeted Moscow, the Moscow region, and the Yaroslavl region in Russia. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that air defense systems intercepted two drones heading toward the capital, with emergency services working at the debris sites.

In the Yaroslavl region, Governor Mikhail Yuraev reported a drone threat, prompting military and security services to respond. The attack led to the closure of a section of the M8 highway and disruptions to public transport and intercity bus services. Reports also indicated a massive fire at the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery following a strike by Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In the Moscow region, black smoke was observed near Pavlovsky Posad. Air danger alerts were also issued for the Vladimir and Ivanovo regions, as well as the southeastern part of the Moscow region. Social media reports suggested potential damage to buildings, including broken windows in several locations.
