Drug busts in Croatia and Serbia seize marijuana and firearms

Police in Slavonski Brod, Croatia, arrested a 27‑year‑old man and woman after a disorderly incident at a restaurant. A search of the man's vehicle and home uncovered 1.49 g of marijuana, 0.56 g of amphetamine, an M48 rifle and 15 rounds of ammunition. The pair face charges for illegal drug possession, trafficking and unlawful firearm ownership.

In Niš, Serbia, officers detained a 26‑year‑old man who fled on a quad bike. During the chase, more than 1 kg of marijuana was recovered from a field where the suspect had hidden it, and €450 suspected to be drug‑sale proceeds were found in his apartment. He has been placed in custody pending criminal charges.
