DS N°7 luxury SUV unveiled with electric and hybrid powertrains

DS Automobiles, the French premium marque of Stellantis, has launched the DS N°7, a new compact‑size SUV that replaces the outgoing DS 7. Built on the STLA‑Medium platform, the N°7 measures 4.66 m in length, 1.63 m in height and has a 2.79 m wheel‑base, offering generous interior space for five occupants and a 560 L boot.

The model is offered with four powertrains: a 145 hp mild‑hybrid (47,700 €), an E‑Tense front‑wheel‑drive electric (230‑245 hp, from 56,300 €), a longer‑range electric version (245 hp, from 61,700 €) and an all‑wheel‑drive electric AWD (up to 350 hp, from 66,600 €). The top electric variant carries a 97.2 kWh battery that delivers up to 740 km (city) of range and can charge from 10 % to 80 % in about 27 minutes on a high‑power charger.

Stylistically, the N°7 features an illuminated “Lumina Screen” grille, vertical LED daytime‑running lights, and a camera‑based Active Scan Suspension that adapts to road surface in real time. Inside, the cabin showcases premium leather, a 30‑cm central touchscreen, a 10‑inch digital instrument cluster, a head‑up display and a panoramic roof.

DS aims to reverse a recent sales slump – French volumes fell 20.8 % and European volumes 23 % in 2025 – by positioning the N°7 as a high‑tech, luxury alternative in the crowded C‑ and D‑segment. First units are slated for French dealerships in October, with orders opening within weeks of the announcement.
