DSV and CMA CGM partner for low-carbon shipping
Logistics company DSV has signed an agreement with shipping line CMA CGM to utilize the ACT+ (Accelerate Climate Transition) low-carbon shipping solution. The partnership aims to achieve a targeted reduction of 12,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions over a two-year period.
The emissions reductions will be facilitated through the use of low-carbon fuels, specifically second-generation UCOME-based biofuels derived from renewable materials such as used cooking oil and agricultural waste. CMA CGM’s ACT+ solutions are designed to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 83% compared to conventional shipping fuels.
This collaboration supports both companies' long-term environmental goals, including CMA CGM’s commitment to reaching net-zero carbon by 2050 and DSV’s objective to reach net-zero emissions across its own operations and value chain by the same year.
