Dubai Police community initiatives to generate $176.4 million in social value

A study conducted by the Future Foresight Centre has estimated that 80 Dubai Police community initiatives will generate a Social Return on Investment (SROI) of AED 647.9 million ($176.4 million) between 2017 and 2026. These programs, which span education, health, public awareness, and sports, are projected to benefit 3.8 million people.

The research indicates that these initiatives contribute significantly to security, economic outcomes, and public trust. Economic and community contributions account for AED 542.7 million of the total value. Additionally, AED 62.8 million is attributed to initiatives that bolster public trust, while AED 31.7 million is linked to quality of life improvements.

Statistical analysis found positive correlations between these initiatives and the Happiness Index, as well as enhanced perceptions of safety. Conversely, the study identified an inverse relationship with crime, noting that increased implementation of community programs coincided with lower levels of certain crimes.
