Dubai prepares for 2026 fitness events and winter season security

Registration has opened for Dubai Ride 2026, a key event within the 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Scheduled for November 1, 2026, the free event will transform part of Sheikh Zayed Road into a cycling route. Participants can choose between a 12km main route featuring landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and a shorter 4km Downtown route designed for families and casual riders.

In preparation for the upcoming winter season, the Dubai Events Security Committee (ESC) has met to review safety and organizational arrangements for several major activities. These include the Dubai 30X30 Fitness Challenge, the opening of Global Village, and the World Championship of Legends 2026. Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence, and the General Department of Traffic are coordinating to ensure security and smooth operations across the emirate's various large-scale events.
