Dubai real estate sees major construction and handover activity

Dubai real estate property development construction contracts residential handovers branded residences

The Dubai real estate sector is seeing significant activity in construction and residential handovers. DAMAC Properties has announced the handover of more than 50,000 homes and reported awarding over USD 2.72 billion in construction contracts during the first half of 2026. The developer aims to deliver more than 8,800 residential units this year across various projects, including DAMAC Lagoons and DAMAC Hills.

In a separate development, Grovy Developers has broken ground on the Ramada Residences by Wyndham at Dubai Islands. The project is being developed in partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and USquare Luxe Properties. Jaseera Building Contracting LLC has been appointed as the main contractor for the boutique branded residences, with structural works currently underway.
