Dubai reports tourism growth and announces electric vehicle exhibition
Dubai is experiencing significant growth in its tourism and hospitality sectors. According to data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, hotel occupancy reached 66% in August 2026. In the first eight months of the year, the emirate recorded 21.61 million occupied room nights, with total hotel room inventory approaching 149,000 rooms.
In addition to tourism growth, the emirate is expanding its focus on sustainable technology. The inaugural Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference (EV World 2026) is scheduled to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from November 10 to 12. Organized by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the event is expected to host over 300 companies and 10,000 specialists to discuss the future of electric and hydrogen-powered mobility.
