Dubai tourism surges with Dh6 billion hotel revenue and rising park visits

Dubai has reported significant growth in its tourism and recreational sectors during the first eight months of 2026. According to data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, hotel revenues exceeded Dh6 billion during this period, supported by 21.61 million hotel nights booked and 6.97 million international visitors.

The hotel market shows a strong luxury presence, with five-star rooms accounting for 35% of the total market capacity. The average daily room rate was recorded at Dh470, while mid-range hotel apartments saw the highest occupancy rate at 73%.

Simultaneously, Dubai Municipality reported an 18% year-on-year increase in public park footfall for the first half of 2026. This growth is attributed to new recreational offerings, including the renovated Al Mamzar Beaches and the introduction of a 24/7 ladies-only beach at the upcoming Al Mamzar Corniche. Notable increases in visitor numbers were seen at Quranic Park, which rose by 47%, and Mushrif National Park, which grew by 20%.
