Indonesia expands mobile driving‑license renewal service to multiple cities
Indonesia’s traffic police are operating a mobile "SIM Keliling" service that allows drivers to renew their Class A and C driving licences without visiting a main Satpas office. The service runs on weekends and selected weekdays in July‑August 2026, covering Jakarta (multiple malls and public venues), Bogor, Bekasi, Bandung, and Sleman, with specific dates and operating hours listed for each location. Applicants must bring an original KTP, the current licence, a health certificate and a psychology test result; fees are Rp 80,000 for a Class A licence and Rp 75,000 for a Class C licence. The mobile units only process renewals of still‑valid licences; new licences or Class B renewals must be handled at regular Satpas offices.
The rollout is coordinated by the Directorate of Traffic (Direktorat Lalu Lintas) of Polda Metro Jaya, aiming to improve accessibility of licence services for residents across the Greater Jakarta area and nearby provinces.
