Indonesia expands SIM Keliling and Samsat mobile services

Overview

The police-run SIM Keliling mobile driver-license renewal programme continued its expansion throughout July and August 2026. By mid-August, service availability continued in Bandung at locations such as MCD on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta and BPR KS on Jalan Leuwi Panjang. In Bali, mobile services covered Badung, Tabanan, Jembrana, and Klungkung, with specific points at Damkar Dalung and the Klungkung Regent’s Office. Due to the Indonesian Independence Day national holiday on 17 August 2026, authorities provided a special dispensation for drivers with licenses expiring on that date to renew them on 18 August. By early September, mobile services remained active for SIM A and SIM C renewals. In the Yogyakarta region, the Polda DIY Traffic Directorate scheduled units at the Condongcatur Village Office in Sleman. In the Greater Jakarta area, locations included Mall Grand Cakung, LTC Glodok, Kampus Trilogi Kalibata, Mall Artha Gading, and the Lapangan Banteng Post Office, with additional sites in Bogor and Bekasi. In Bandung, mobile units operated at Rest Area 78 Kiara Artha Park and Yogya Riau Junction. As of 7 September 2026, mobile units for both driver's license (SIM) and vehicle tax (Samsat) renewals continue to operate across Jakarta, West Java, Yogyakarta, and Bali.
