Dublin rickshaw accident claims life of mother after Westlife concert

Danielle O'Keane, a 37-year-old mother of two from Co Armagh, has passed away following a serious accident in Dublin. The incident occurred on September 26 after she attended a Westlife concert at the 3Arena.

While traveling in a motorized rickshaw toward the city center to meet her husband, the vehicle clipped a divider between the cycle lane and the car lane. The rickshaw tipped over, causing O'Keane to fall into the path of oncoming traffic, where she was struck by a car.

O'Keane was treated for catastrophic brain injuries at Mater University Hospital. Following the tragedy, her family has called for stricter regulations regarding the use of rickshaws and e-scooters. Westlife reportedly reached out privately to the family in the wake of the event.
