Ducati and Aprilia battle for MotoGP supremacy

MotoGP expert Davide Tardozzi predicts the championship battle between Ducati and Aprilia will continue to oscillate based on the specific characteristics of each circuit. The competition has seen alternating dominance, with Aprilia finding success at Le Mans, Mugello, and Silverstone, while Ducati has performed strongly at Jerez, Catalunya, Balaton Park, Brno, and Sachsenring.

In the riders' championship, Marc Márquez faced a setback at Silverstone. Following extreme tire degradation during the Sprint, he finished ninth, a result Tardozzi described as unexpected. Márquez subsequently finished seventh in the main race, earning only ten of the possible 37 points. This performance increased the gap between him and the championship leader, Jorge Martín, to 40 points.
