Ducati and Yamaha announce new motorcycle models and electric concepts

Ducati has unveiled the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, featuring a new racing-inspired livery designed by Ducati Centro Stile and Drudi Performance. The aesthetic draws from the Desmosedici GP MotoGP and Panigale V4 R machines. While no technical changes were made to the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, which produces 170 hp, the model includes premium components such as an Akrapovič titanium silencer, Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension, and carbon-fiber parts.

Additionally, Ducati introduced the Desmo450 SM, a high-performance supermoto model derived from the Desmo450 MX platform. Developed with direct input from Showa, the Desmo450 SM features a 49 mm upside-down fork with Kashima coating and is designed for competitive racing.

In separate news, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Electric Motion SAS, is preparing to showcase the YE-01 electric motocross concept. The vehicle will be exhibited and undergo an exhibition run at the Motocross of Nations 2026 in France, as part of Yamaha’s strategy to participate in the upcoming MXEP electric motocross category.
