Ducati launches first motocross models in Brazil

Ducati has entered the motocross market in Brazil with the simultaneous launch of two models: the Desmo450 MX and the Desmo450 MX Factory. The first batch is limited to 40 units, consisting of 15 Desmo450 MX models and 25 Desmo450 MX Factory models.

Both motorcycles feature a 449.6 cm³ single-cylinder Desmodromic engine producing 63.5 hp and 53.5 Nm of torque. A key technical feature is the Ducati Traction Control (DTC), which the manufacturer claims is the first in the motocross segment capable of measuring actual rear wheel slip to avoid intervention during jumps. The bikes also include an aluminum perimeter chassis, Showa suspension, and Brembo brakes.

The Desmo450 MX is priced at R$ 99,000.00 and weighs 104.8 kg without fuel. The higher-end Desmo450 MX Factory, priced at R$ 139,000.00, is lighter at 104 kg and includes premium components such as an Akrapovič titanium exhaust, a holeshot device, and a Wi-Fi module. Sales began across the Ducati dealership network in Brazil on October 9.
