Duisburg launches energy renovation pilot project

The city of Duisburg has launched a pilot project called the ‘Energy Caravan’ in the Bergheim district. The initiative aims to encourage owners of single-family and multi-family homes to renovate their properties to reduce energy consumption and improve climate friendliness.

As part of the campaign, the city has sent letters to approximately 1,500 homeowners. Qualified energy advisors will visit interested residents at their homes to provide free consultations. These sessions will cover topics such as current energy consumption, methods for upgrading thermal insulation and building technology, and information on available subsidies for renovations.
