Dunakeszi and Ózd unveil plans for modern family parks
The city of Dunakeszi, Hungary, will create a modern family leisure park beside its airport, retaining sport‑flight operations while adding playgrounds, a pump track for cyclists and skateboarders, an OCR course, a picnic area, a lake and extensive green space. The development, slated for completion by July 2026, is supported by the local aviation club and aims to give children a safe space for BMX, rollerskate and other activities.
In Ózd, work on a new central playground in the Youth Park is progressing rapidly. Nine new play‑equipment pieces have been installed, and foundations are being laid for two new play towers and a slide. Mayor Janiczak Dávid inspected the site with the project manager and contractors, noting that the playground will complement the adjacent active sports park. Completion is expected within two to three weeks, after final testing and certification.
