Dung Quat Refinery to receive 1.25 million barrels of crude oil

The Dung Quat Refinery, managed by Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical (BSR) and a member of Petrovietnam, is scheduled to receive approximately 1.25 million barrels of crude oil during the September 2 National Day holiday.

Between August 31 and September 1, the vessel PVT Hera will deliver 680,000 barrels of crude from the Rang Dong, Bach Ho, and Chim Sao fields. This will be followed by the PVT Mercury from September 2 to 3, transporting 570,000 barrels from the Bach Ho and Su Tu Den fields. The refinery maintains a storage capacity of approximately 585,000 cubic meters to ensure continuous production and national energy security.

Since the beginning of 2026, BSR has expanded its processing capabilities to include 40 different types of crude oil, consisting of 12 domestic and 28 imported varieties. Notably, the refinery has mastered the technology to process Nigerian Erha crude and Sao Vang - Dai Nguyet condensate. In the first seven months of 2026, the facility operated at an average capacity of 124%, with production reaching 4.76 million tons, or 106% of its target.
