Duran Duran honored with special Royal Mail stamp collection

The Royal Mail is launching a special stamp collection dedicated to the iconic British band Duran Duran. The collection celebrates the group’s long career and visual identity, featuring eight stamps inspired by their album covers, including their 1981 debut, ‘Rio’, ‘Seven and the Ragged Tiger’, ‘Notorious’, ‘The Wedding Album’, ‘Astronaut’, ‘Paper Gods’, and ‘Future Past’.

In addition to the main set, the release includes a miniature sheet with four stamps inspired by the band’s international tour posters, covering eras from the ‘Careless Memories Tour’ (1981) to the ‘Invisible Tour’ (2022). For the first time in Royal Mail history, printed designs will also appear on the reverse side of the stamps.

Co-founder Nick Rhodes expressed that it is a “true honor” to be featured on the stamps of their home country. The collection, which includes postcards, posters, and framed sheets, joins the ranks of other British musical legends like The Who and the Spice Girls to receive similar postal honors.
