Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon reflects on band's history and Halloween shows

Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon recently reflected on the band’s lack of ‘street credibility’ during their early years in the 1980s. Le Bon recalled a conversation with bandmate John Taylor, who compared the group’s street credibility to that of Chanel No 19 perfume.

Despite not being a personal fan of Halloween, Le Bon noted that this realization has made him more willing to participate in the band’s annual Halloween shows, which began in 2022. The upcoming event is scheduled to take place at the O2 in London. Le Bon shared that he has previously performed in various costumes, ranging from a werewolf to a jellyfish, and expressed interest in dressing as Shiva the Destroyer for the next show.

Bandmate Nick Rhodes added that the group has always maintained a sense of humor, despite the image they projected during the 1980s.
