The Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express (Train No. 12290) was targeted by stone pelting on Friday night near the Borkhedi-Sindhi section. The attack resulted in the shattering of window glass in three AC coaches: A-1, B-2, and B-5.
Passengers reported that the incident occurred around 8:27 PM while they were having dinner. One passenger described the sound of the impact as being similar to “machine-gun fire.” While some reports indicate four passengers may have sustained minor injuries from flying glass, railway officials stated that no major injuries or loss of life were reported.

An investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators, and a case has been registered against unknown persons under Section 153 of the Railway Act.
