Dutch cultural markets and Christmas events featured in Germany and Netherlands

Various Dutch-themed cultural events and seasonal markets are being highlighted in the region. In Hamm, Germany, a Holland Market is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, featuring approximately 35 stalls. The event offers Dutch specialties such as poffertjes, frikandels, and kibbeling, alongside fresh flowers and textiles. The market includes live music from traditional Dutch brass bands, such as the Oel‘nkapel from Oldenzaal, to create a festive atmosphere.

Looking ahead to the holiday season, several unique Christmas markets in the Netherlands are noted for their distinctive settings. In the northeastern Netherlands, the historic fortress of Bourtange will host a Christmas market on specific dates in December 2026. The event features nearly 100 stalls spread across illuminated bridges, walls, and bastions, accompanied by choirs and musical performances.
