Dutch entrepreneurs drive growth in organic agriculture and sustainable skincare
Astrid Kortekaas has joined the family business Landzicht Biologisch, based in Strijen, Netherlands. After nearly twenty years in various sectors including Max Havelaar and Fairtrade Original, Kortekaas aims to expand the company's network of organic growers and increase the market presence of organic produce. Her focus is on making the company's sustainability story more visible while engaging directly with growers and customers.
In the skincare sector, Manon Fennis has transitioned from a customer to a co-owner of the brand Food for Skin. Working alongside founders Angela Ursem and Cathy Molenaar, Fennis is helping manage the brand's growth following a 2024 rebranding and recent investments from DOEN Participaties. The company maintains a focus on responsible sourcing and production, prioritizing product quality and mission-driven operations as they scale up production capabilities.
