Dutch police conduct large-scale traffic enforcement in Harderwijk and Zwolle

Police and the Tax Administration conducted large-scale traffic enforcement operations in the Harderwijk and Zwolle regions of the Netherlands. In Harderwijk, authorities utilized motor officers and camera surveillance to inspect vehicles and drivers.

The enforcement in Harderwijk resulted in several violations, including four drivers suspected of driving under the influence of drugs. Technical infractions were also identified, such as vehicles with excessively loud exhausts—one measuring 105 decibels against a 94-decibel limit—and a truck operating without a tachograph or transport permit. Additionally, officers cited drivers for violating the 185-day rule regarding foreign licenses and driving with invalid documentation.

In Zwolle, the police utilized the RDW inspection station near the A28 motorway to perform comprehensive vehicle checks. The facility allowed officers to inspect the undercarriages of vehicles, including brakes, tires, and structural modifications. This operation led to four arrests, multiple seizures, and a significant list of various traffic violations.
