Part of situation: TEFAF Maastricht jewelry heist investigation (3 clusters)

Europol seeks five Serbian nationals in 40 million euro jewelry heist

Pink Panthers TEFAF Maastricht jewelry heist Europol Ninoslava Jović

Europol and Dutch authorities are searching for five Serbian citizens suspected of involvement in a massive jewelry theft at the TEFAF art fair in Maastricht, Netherlands. The heist, which occurred on June 28, 2022, resulted in the loss of diamonds and precious items valued at approximately 40 million euros.

Investigators are specifically seeking 41-year-old Ninoslava Jović, who is suspected of helping organize the criminal operation. The Limburg prosecutor’s office has offered a 20,000 euro reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects, while an insurance company has pledged 600,000 euros for data leading to the recovery of the stolen goods.

The other four suspects, all from Niš, are Aleksandar Cenić (50), Aleksandar Stojiljković (50), Duško Dimitrijević (50), and Bratislav Stojanović (41). During the robbery, four armed men dressed in suits and flat caps, reminiscent of the Peaky Blinders, smashed display cases and escaped on electric scooters. Authorities suspect the group is linked to the international criminal network known as the “Pink Panthers.”

While Jović is believed to be in Serbia, investigators note she may travel internationally. To date, only three diamonds from the stolen collection have been recovered, found in Israel, Hong Kong, and Botswana.
