Dutch Retail Sales Rise 2.9% in June 2026, Online Revenue Up 7.5%
In June 2026 the Dutch retail sector recorded a 2.9% increase in total turnover compared with the same month a year earlier, according to the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS). Online sales grew faster, rising 7.5% year‑on‑year. Multichannel retailers that operate both physical stores and webshops saw online revenue jump about 10%, while pure‑play webshops posted a 6% increase.
The non‑food segment contributed a 3.1% sales rise and the food and beverage segment grew 2.5%. Consumer electronics led the online surge with a 9% increase, and overall the category posted the strongest growth of more than 6% in the month. Drugstores added 4.5% to their sales, whereas shoe, leather goods and furniture retailers reported lower turnover than a year earlier.
