Dutch roadworks on N305 and Plettenburgerbaan cause traffic delays

The province of Flevoland will carry out extensive maintenance on the Gooiseweg (N305) starting on 28 June and running until mid‑October. Work includes resurfacing, foundation renewal and partial widening, with night‑time and weekend closures, lane reductions, reduced speed limits and detours only during those periods. Travelers are advised to plan routes in advance.

In the municipality of Nieuwegein, the Plettenburgerbaan will be partially closed from 18 to 26 July for asphalt work and repairs to the Plettenburgse bridge. Traffic will be redirected via the Marconibaan, Structuurbaan, Hollandhaven, Graaf Florisweg and ’s Gravenhoutseweg/Zandveldseweg, and drivers are urged to use navigation apps for the quickest route. The works aim to improve safety on a stretch that has seen numerous accidents, while cyclists and pedestrians will retain access to dedicated paths and temporary crossings.

Both projects are expected to cause significant, but temporary, travel inconvenience for motorists, public transport users and local residents.
