Dutch summer festivals feature Het Stroat Ensemble at Haaksbergen art market and organ concert in Oosterhout

The 20th edition of the Kunstmarkt Haaksbergen, held on 19 July in the Scholtenhagenpark, will host more than a hundred artists and the long‑standing Het Stroat Ensemble from Oldenzaal. The 30‑musician group, known for its versatile repertoire ranging from swing jazz to pop arrangements, will add a festive musical backdrop to the art stalls.

In Oosterhout, the third free Marktconcert takes place on 18 July in the Sint‑Jansbasiliek, where organist Leander Schoormans from Breda will perform on the historic Maarschalkerweerd organ. The program includes his own compositions alongside works by J.N. Lentz, C.F. Ruppe and G. Bellier, offering visitors an accessible introduction to Dutch organ music.
