Dutch towns host community music concerts on June 28
On Sunday 28 June, the Social Music collective performed three half‑hour concerts as part of the Gluren bij de Buren house‑festival in Zwolle’s Wresinski Theater. The program featured original songs and covers created by participants who have been working with music professionals since January, aiming to develop talent and personal growth.
The same day, the summer concerts of koorschool Viva la Musica were moved to the air‑conditioned ME studio in Meppel. Two performances began at 14:30 and 17:00, showcasing youth choirs ranging from ages 6 to 27. The concerts highlighted a diverse repertoire, including Dutch children’s songs, international pieces, and a cappella works. A complimentary drink was offered to attendees in the cooled foyer.
