Dutch towns Huizen and Afferden host children’s outdoor activities on June 19
In Huizen, local football club s.v. Huizen organised an open training session for children up to six years old on Friday 19 June. The hour‑long session ran from 16:00 to 17:00 on the main field at De Wolfskamer, and parents were invited to bring their youngsters to try football.
In Afferden, the Visit Noord‑Limburg programme offered a fairy‑tale nature walk for children up to five years on the same day. The walk started at 14:30 at Activiteitencentrum De Zevenboom and lasted about an hour, guiding the youngsters through the Maasduinen National Park to collect natural items for crafts. One adult could accompany each child, though attendance was not mandatory, and tickets were free.
Both events aim to introduce young children to sports and nature activities in the Netherlands.
