Dutch villages host free summer concerts featuring local choirs

In the village of Neerkant, three music groups – Popkoor Musical Voices, Sint Willibrordus, and Wilona – will perform a free terrace concert on Tuesday evening, offering a mix of classic melodies, contemporary songs such as Teddy Swims and Douwe Bob, and choral works. The event, organized by Musical Voices board member Antonio Arts, aims to bring together residents from Neerkant, Helenaveen and surrounding areas despite the possibility of moving indoors if the weather turns.

In Ouddorp, the Christelijk Ouddorps Mannenkoor will hold its fifteenth Zomerzangavond on 27 June at the flower barn of the Klepper family. Joined by the inter‑church Rehobôth choir and accompanied by pan‑flute, organ and a meditation, the free concert supports the diaconal guest house “de Oase”. Both concerts emphasize community participation and raise funds for local causes.
