Dying Light: The Beast marks first anniversary with massive player stats and new event
Techland has released community statistics marking the first anniversary of Dying Light: The Beast. Since its release, players worldwide have defeated approximately 8.6 billion enemies, including mutants and human opponents, within the Castor Woods setting. Additionally, the community has completed roughly one billion quests and activated the ‘Beast Mode’ hundreds of millions of times.
To celebrate the milestone, a live event titled ‘Call of the Beast’ is running on Steam for three weeks starting September 21. The event features weekly global goals and a community voting system that determines special combat modifiers for the weekends. A 21-day reward calendar is also available, offering in-game items, weapon skins, blueprints, and store points.
Technical improvements were included in the Update 1.7 release, addressing PC-specific issues such as crashes, stuttering in settings menus, and screen tearing related to ray tracing and frame generation on RTX 40-series hardware.
