Dying Light: The Beast release and anniversary updates
Overview
Techland has announced physical PlayStation 5 releases for Dying Light: The Beast in collaboration with Super Rare Games. These releases include a Retail Edition, a Super Rare Edition, and an Anniversary Edition, the latter of which features an artbook, poster, map, soundtrack, and the Definitive Edition of the game. Pre-orders for these editions are scheduled to run until October 16, 2026.
As the game reaches its first anniversary, Techland released community statistics noting that players have defeated approximately 8.6 billion enemies and completed roughly one billion quests. To celebrate, a three-week live event titled ‘Call of the Beast’ was launched on Steam, featuring global goals and a reward calendar. Additionally, Update 1.7 was released to provide technical improvements for PC players, specifically addressing hardware-related issues such as stuttering and screen tearing.
