Dylan Dog celebrates 40th anniversary with new book and stage play

Sergio Bonelli Editore is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the legendary comic series Dylan Dog with two major releases.

A special edition of the original issue, ‘Dylan Dog. L’alba dei morti viventi’, written by Tiziano Sclavi and illustrated by Angelo Stano, will be available in bookstores and comic shops starting November 3. This edition features the original screenplay by Sclavi and will be released in both a regular version with cover art by Gigi Cavenago and a variant version for the Manicomix circuit.

Additionally, the series is making its theatrical debut with ‘Dylan Dog Horror Show’. Directed by Valter Malosti and starring Gabriele Graham Gasco, the play will premiere at the Teatro Eliseo in Rome starting October 28, 2026. The production features an original story involving a mysterious client named Veronika, forcing the protagonist to confront ghosts from his past, including recurring characters such as Xabaras, Groucho, and Inspector Bloch.
