Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered set for October 2026 release

Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force have announced the release of Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, scheduled for October 1, 2026. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the remaster includes the original game and the Xtreme Legends expansion. The title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

Producer Tomohiko Sho detailed the technical performance targets across different platforms. The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X versions are expected to run at 60 FPS with 4K upscaled resolution. The PlayStation 5 Pro version will specifically utilize PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) and Nanite technology to provide higher internal resolution and superior mesh quality.

On more limited hardware, the Xbox Series S will target 1080p at 60 FPS, while the Nintendo Switch 2 will offer 1440p when docked and 1080p in handheld mode, with a variable frame rate between 30 and 60 FPS. Despite these hardware differences, the developers confirmed that the number of characters on the battlefield will remain consistent across all platforms.
